Scott has a Master’s Degree in Taxation and nearly 25 years of experience as a CPA. Scott specializes in providing tax planning, consulting and compliance services to closely held businesses and successful individuals in a broad range of industries. Scott’s background and personal interests drew him to the real estate development and property management industries – where he developed a particular expertise. A significant portion of his current practice entails serving real estate developers, investors, and related businesses.


Scott and his wife Kelly live in Normandy Park with their two teenage children. He enjoys boating, fishing, and other outdoor recreation activities with friends and family. A native of Eastern Washington, Scott has resided in the Seattle area for over 30 years. He is active in local nonprofit organizations, recently serving as Treasurer for Highline Medical Center Foundation.

Jim has over 40 years of experience as a practicing CPA – most of those years in the Seattle area. He has four married children and 12 grandchildren.  A priority for Jim is contributing to his community. He makes time to sit on at least one non-profit board in the West Seattle area.

David has nearly a decade of experience as a tax professional. He has managed accountants in both tax compliance and resolution as well as designed tax software for CPA firms across the country. His understanding of tax law, communication skills, and technological expertise make him a valuable asset for business owners and high net worth individuals navigating the often complex world of taxation.


In his free time, David enjoys traveling, craft breweries, and hiking with his wife and dog. He is a proud Michigan State alum and diehard fan of his alma mater’s football/basketball teams.​

Robert Silva, CPA
Tax Manager


Bob has a diverse working history as an accountant for more than 35 years. He has worked for small accounting firms that emphasize tax return preparation, as well as CPA firms that prepare tax returns and perform regulatory audits. For a number of years, Bob worked in the tax software industry as a tax analyst, senior developer, and later, as head of the firm's quality assurance team for tax software. He has also served as a consultant to a very large software company's tax preparation software project.

Bob volunteered for 25 years as a docent at the Museum of Flight in Seattle. His many and varied interests, when not working on taxation issues, include his interest in aviation history, other specialty areas of history (Ancient, Medieval, and American), the plays of William Shakespeare, and music.

Roen Ako, CPA


Roen joined Hunt Jackson with over 10 years of public accounting experience. After obtaining her Bachelor’s degree, she laid her career foundation with three years of financial statement audit experience with a mid-tier firm before making her move to taxation. She has worked at small local public accounting firms in the Greater Seattle area with a healthy mix of tax compliance and tax planning mostly for small business owners within various industries and high net worth individuals.


Before moving to Seattle for college, Roen was born and raised on the Big Island of Hawai’i. Currently, she lives in West Seattle with her wife, daughter, Bernese Mountain dog (Kai) and Golden Retriever (Koa). In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, playing golf, attending winery and brewery events, and is an avid home brewer.​

Manider Bassi

Upon obtaining her Psychology Degree from the University of Washington and subsequently her Accounting degree from Central Washington University, Manider interned at a local public accounting firm before joining as a Associate. She is currently studying for the CPA Exam.


Born in San Jose, California, Manider spent much of her youth in the Bay area until relocating with her family to the suburbs of beautiful Seattle.  Leaving sun for the occasional rain cloud was made easier by all the great hiking and biking trails and the community like feel of the Northwest. When not hiking or biking, Manider enjoys reading, trying new cuisines, and spending time with her family and friends.

Arthur Dodek

Arthur Dodek joined our team with a few busy seasons already under his belt. He graduated from Seattle University with a major in Accounting and a minor in E-commerce and Information Systems. He is currently working towards completing his CPA certification.


Arthur loves everything about the Pacific Northwest and all it offers (yes, even those dark rainy days). In his free time, he enjoys skiing, biking, hiking, boating, and barbecuing with friends. Beyond accounting, he is also passionate about cars, technology & real estate.

Karlencia Calvin, CPA

Karlencia Calvin was born and raised in Louisiana, and her move to Seattle makes Washington the only other state she has ever lived in. While working as the accountant at Orleans Parish Criminal District Court in Louisiana, she earned her Masters degree in Taxation. She worked as an Accounting instructor at Baton Rouge Community College in Baton Rouge, LA for four and a half years before accepting the role here.
